PRE - VERY VANCOUVER - 2023

Enjoy the ultimate immersion into the must-see attractions in and around Vancouver, including historical Gastown, soaring Capilano Suspension Bridge and natural wonders such as Queen Elizabeth Park.

DAY 1

After flying into Vancouver, you will transfer to your hotel in the heart of downtown Vancouver. The official check-in is at 4:00pm. Although every effort will be made to have rooms ready before this time, this cannot be guaranteed. The remainder of the day is at your leisure, allowing you plenty of time to settle in and relax. Meals are on your own, and there are plenty of restaurants in the hotel and within easy walking distance.

DAY 2

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and then set out for a full-day tour of Vancouver and the area. Your morning Vancouver sightseeing tour will take you to Canada Place and the waterfront with a stop at the Olympic Flame Monument. Built for the 2010 Winter Games, the cauldron stands in Jack Poole Plaza.

Next, you will explore North America’s second largest Chinatown. Stops along the way include Dr. Sun-Yat-Sen-Park and historic Gastown, a district of restored 19th-century buildings and atmospheric cobblestone streets. One of the more interesting landmarks in Gastown is the Steam Clock. Other attractions in nearby Stanley Park include the totem pole display at Brockton Point.

You will then cross the Lions Gate Bridge for lunch at a local North Shore restaurant. Following lunch, you will visit Capilano Suspension bridge, which stretches 450 feet across and 230 feet above the Capilano River. It offers breathtaking views, as does the Cliffwalk, a cantilevered walkway that clings to the granite cliff high above Capilano Canyon. For added excitement, there is Treetops Adventure, a series of seven suspension bridges through the evergreens.

Next, you will visit Grouse Mountain, which the first hikers to reach the summit named in 1894. As you journey up the mountainside on the Skyride, you will be treated to extraordinary views of Vancouver, the Pacific Ocean and the Gulf Islands beyond. While here, you might experience the Theatre in the Sky presentations, visit the Bear Refuge, watch the lumberjack show and birds of prey demonstration, or take the quad chair to the peak for panoramic views over the city and Georgia Strait.

Late in the afternoon, you will return to downtown Vancouver where the remainder of the day is at your leisure and dinner is on your own.

DAY 3

Enjoy breakfast followed by check out. Don’t forget to settle any incidentals before departing. On this morning’s tour, discover Queen Elizabeth Park, Vancouver’s horticultural jewel. Being the highest point in Vancouver, it presents spectacular views of the park, city and mountains on the North Shore. While meandering through the park, you will visit Bloedel Conservatory. There is also a gorgeously landscaped quarry garden, an arboretum of exotic and native trees, and numerous sculptures, the most famous by artist Henry Moore.

On the return to Vancouver, you will stop at Granville Island, a popular site known for its public market, arts and crafts shops and dining venues.

The program ends with guests being dropped off at the pier to embark the ship.
